Product Description

Birds were often used in Celtic patterns as it was believed that they were messengers flying between the heavenly and earthly realms and St. Columba was believed to have spoken the language of birds. Here two birds are entwined with knotwork, a symbol of Eternity and the mystery of life. The design was originally inspired by a medieval carving, now displayed in the Abbey cloisters.

This piece of jewellery is made from 100% recycled AgAIN silver which emits 2/3 less CO2 than mined silver. AgAIN Sterling Silver is top-quality silver which makes a real difference by helping hospitals to earn money from old X-rays which would normally be stored or sent to landfill, providing customers with a fully traceable and sustainable silver supply, and helping the planet by minimising AgAIN’s carbon footprint.
