Beautiful broad carved ring featuring the ‘regrowth’ of the acanthus pattern of the Ritchies, framing a circle of Iona white marble, and topped with a calman-òr - a golden dove of peace for Naomh Calum Cille - St Columba himself. In Latin as well as the Irish language, St Columba’s name means ‘dove’.
Featuring 3D scanned elements originally hand-carved by the Ritchies and reimagined for today, each piece includes their original circular icon of the words ‘PEACE TO THEE’ hidden on the back on the stone, as a treasured memory of Iona, to be worn against the body.
These very special limited edition designs carry the unbroken line of Iona celtic art, both through the resonance of the past touch of the masters and the stone of the place, in a precious and modern interpretation.
