Hannah Louise Lamb is an internationally renowned jewellery designer who works from her studio in the heart of Edinburgh. A graduate of the Royal College of Art, Hannah’s jewellery is influenced by a sense of place and home, in particular the wonderful coastlines and seascapes of her childhood. For Aosdàna she has developed her Coastline range of rings and bangle designs to reflect the iconic outline of Iona. The skills Hannah employs in making these pieces of jewellery for Aosdàna are rooted in traditional fabrication techniques and quality workmanship, focusing specifically on intricate hand-piercing and cut-outs. We are delighted to show Hannah’s work both online and at our gallery on Iona. Every item is a stunningly beautiful piece of jewellery to treasure
Fàilte - A very warm welcome to our island jewellery business, Aosdàna. Our name comes from an old Gaelic word, aos-dàna, a collective term for the bards of old who recorded the stories and genealogies of the land, through poetry and music. It is the perfect name for a creative business inspired by the incredible artistic heritage of Iona, held for future generations, whilst also showcasing a contemporary collective of jewellery designers from around the UK.
