DescriptionTwo spirals wind around the edges of this circular pendant. Like the highly decorative interlocking spirals found in the Book of Kells, they illustrate the eternal interconnectedness of all things, heaven and earth, sky and ocean entwined. The enamel evokes the colours of the Sound of Iona, and continues a tradition of jewellery enameling made popular in Scotland in the 15th century and 16th century.
A version in blue enamel is available here.
