Visualising herself as a collector of information and materials, Caitlin’s work explores thoughts and observations about ancient culture in her metal and wooden jewellery. In previous work, Caitlin has been fascinated with the history of the colour blue, experimenting with dyes and the technique of crushing Lapis Lazuli to create pigment. She creates texture by the ancient processes of chasing in metal and wood carving, creating relationships and tensions across surfaces.
In 2018, Caitlin graduated from The Glasgow School of Art in Silversmithing and Jewellery with first class honours degree.
